Happenings
It sucks when you can't drive. In this instance, it sucks when I can't drive and have to rely on everyone else to ferry me from one place to the other. It's rather cool if it's on the way and it's a convenient thing to do, but when you have to drive a great distance just to pick someone up, hm... not so nice. And I feel guilty guilty guilty. One of my New Year's Resolution is to go behind the wheel and learn how to drive.. must la, cannot keep depending on being chauffeured from one place to the other. Then again, the question arises on whether my dad would allow me to drive in KL's or PJ's monstruous/chaotic/jammed conditions OR on whether I'll have a car of my own when I come back for holidays... damn why can't public transportation be more available without the risks of kidnapping/rape/snatch thiefs/danger of any sort?
Have been home for almost- nearly but not quite two months. The first day I arrived and opened my Xmas pressies seem so long ago and I've reverted back to my normal Malaysian persona before leaving two years back. I've had a long list of to-dos and I think I've completed most of them. Amongst them was of course to catch up with pals and this time back was undoubtly the most fruitful of all attempts to catch up. All the other short hols I took really didn't give me enough time apart from spending quality time with the family. But this time, yeah!!! Another thing was to indulge in all the Asian food I've been not so deprived of but authentic ones yes... was a great experience (yet again) to visit pasar malams (night markets) to bargain for food and goods, a fantastic treat at the Thai restaurant where I tucked into Green Curry Laksa, the numerous Sushi expeditions Ann Li and I had, fragrant/yummy/soft buns from Bread Story, home made Malay dishes at Yana's, exotic Korean dishes at SS2's... and loads loads loads more! Plus the slurpy desserts from Muar! Man, I can so have some more!!

Hm.. but all those food also mean packing on the pounds right? Right now, I'm trying hard not to think about that just yet. After all, I have a fantastic excercise regime to obey when I get back. But that, I will worry about later.
The big highlight happening right now is the impending Year of the Boar aka The Chinese New Year which comes on Sunday...weeeee.... all those new clothes, fun, food and fireworks!! And ang paos (red packets filled with money, given to the younger generation).. I really cannot wait!! But *groan* the day I depart creeps closer....
My Green Curry Laksa.. small portion, not too splendid but irresistible nontheless..doesn't temptation jsut drive you wild?
