Lubb dubb: A heartbeat. A legacy. My story.

Time flies by. Reality sinks in, but memories stay, as crisp as freshly washed linen, and as clear as what is written here.

Cullinary experiments

The few dishes I've mastered since coming back:

- ABC soup (soup with carrots, potatoes, tomotoes, celery, onions and meat)
-Chicken Corn Soup
-Chicken Herb Soup
-Black Bean Soup with bones
-Chicken cooked in black soy sauce with ginger (hold the wine)
-Potatoes and minced pork (my fav!)
-Sweet potato fries (kumara fries with or without batter)
-Fried sticky rice (nian gao)
-Red Bean dessert with dried orange peel
-Black pulut rice with santan (coconut milk)
-Barley, ginkgo, and quail eggs dessert (this, was a failure. I boiled the fuchok for too long and it became tao hwe ziu... but still edible)

p/s: if anyone's having a potluck party in the near future, I'm more than happy to bring one of my desserts!
Me trying to shell the ginkgo nuts...argh, I look so aunty like!!!! NOOOOO...

My dad's share of the 'black pulut rice'..see the 'J'? That's for his name...but can also be someone else's...hehe

My sis'.. first attempt in creating letters with santan, so a bit wonky
