Chinese New Year 2007

As they say, pictures are worth a thousand words.. in my case, though it's cliched, it's more than true..a thousand words or more, excessively more. Enjoy the pictures of my family's Chinese New Year celebration. Had a fantastic and great time- loads of quality time and traditions re-visited..

Almost everyone on dad's side- at Chuan Tin. After Ah Mah's birthday dinner. Cut the cake!!
The traditional dessert on the morning of the first day of the Chinese New Year- Ginkgo nuts to make you smart, dates and dried longan to make it sweet. Basically, I think we have this to ensure we have a very sweet life. The spicy kids' steamboat wok..before.....and...after.... As you can see I'm missing Durians!! At the Durian Farm!! Yeah, this is the real kampung life!!!

Yee Sang- a tradiational new year dish, the colourful ingredients to add colour to life, the raw fish which means hoping for success or wealth (I think).. basically everyone has to stir it with their chopsticks and yell prosperous phrases for a good New Year...check this out...before..
