Bundle of joy
There was definitely no bundle of joy on Thursday (take it literally first). First of all, Thursday was one of the long days of the week with classes starting at 9, non- stop till 3. Usually, it's not such a big problem but the weather chose to be untimely horrid to the Aucklanders and we woke up to a heavy downpour. Not a problem when you've got umbrellas to shield you. Wrong. The wind was gustly, and having to spend a lot of time on foot, walking from campus to campus, you would have guessed: I was destined to get drenched and that was exactly what happened. The traffic was bad, everyone was wet, my shoes were soaked, my jeans were a noticeable few shades darker, and I was five minutes late for Biosci. If that was not enough, we had to do our routine hike to Grafton for our Dive reflex lab. By the time we got there, we were all cold and wet, so probably might have impacted on our lab results anyways, didn't see how the cold receptors on our face were going to differentiate between the cold water face immersion, in the bucket, or in the rain. So yes. Thursday was stormy and hell. I so wished I had one of those big rain coats to shield myself.... broken umbrellas in bins and wet clothes marked the day.
Got a surprise phone call from Danielle today. Danielle, if you're reading this, it was great to hear from you. We've missed you heaps, especially in labs and lectures... and for the up and coming biosci test that we're having, Aajuli and I were like, Okay, so we're in B28, Danielle would have been there too. It's the little things that add up and those are what that matter. And when you're suddenly deprived of it, you miss it so badly. I tell people I'm enjoying my second year. But I'll do nothing to change my first year that was infused with sweet memories. But yes back to the topic, a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Danielle!!! WEEEEEEEEE! A mommmy to be!! I'm so happy for you! My eyes were actually quite wet from the emotions. I wasn't crying..but just overjoyed! Now Aajuli would have to fulfil her promise as a godmother/babysitter since she wanted you to move to Dannemora..haha..we all know it: you'll make such a cool and fantastic mother..can't wait for the arrival of lil baby Danielle.. do you think she/he'll have those cute curls? (And oh, I didn't break the news to the others, thought you might wanna do it yourself..but shucks, I know, I've said it here already...oh well, let's hope no one else reads it.. I just had to let it out..;)
So yes. That was the highlight of the day. Tomorrow onwards would be hectic: two labs next week, one assignment due and one test.
