Lubb dubb: A heartbeat. A legacy. My story.

Time flies by. Reality sinks in, but memories stay, as crisp as freshly washed linen, and as clear as what is written here.

A dose of anatomy (Quilter) to make me sane

The second week over...another beginning soon. Imagine that in the Christmas song, 'Another year over, a new one just begun..and so this is Christmas....' Yes folks, I feel merry and cheerful, despite my exhaustion after 7 hours in Uni today, and the crippling thought of catching up with Biosci and Physiology.

So what then has put me in such a good mood?

Nope, it's not because I went to Lantern Fest for two days straight last week. Although I did have a blast scouring the food stalls and trying out all sorts of Asian delicacies. From Taiwanese sausages to fried popiah to cotton candy to the dry UMSA satay to the not-so-nice fried tofu... there was everything one needed. And also, I got my much-awaited for cheongsam!!! Yes yes yes! Light blue with blossoms emblazoning it. Will post a picture one day. Now this might as well serve as the final kick/ drive to make me lose that tummy. But the verdict of Lantern Fest was : it's just like a double street Pasar Malam..all the Malaysians agreed with that.

Why I'm so satisfied might be the fact that I had Colin Quilter yet again for our Anatomy lessons. You remember him? The charm oozing, passionate lecturer who we're so in love with? Yes, had him for four lectures and will be having him again later on for Cardiovascular. That's good news. But so far, amongst the four papers that I'm doing, Medsci 201 (anatomy) is by far the best, followed by Medsci 205 (Physio), then Biosci 201...which is bearable but boring. And lastly Educ 121G is just so- so.

Perhaps I'm happy because I'm no longer subjected to chocolate induced endorphin release. Maybe it's because I'm more controlled of my cravings without having to succumb to that smooth, velvety feeling in my mouth. Yes, I haven't had any cravings for the big C since I last went back to KL.. and that means, a yes, hopefully, slimmer and healthier ME. Been working out loads too... my one 2007 resolution: be slimmer, have abs and no flabs. The under 15 min rush to Grafton has done us good too. On average, every week, I have to like literally fly to Grafton for my lab straight after my lecture. Not so good. But we all agree, it's in our best interest and we're already feeling the difference.

So whilst I'm still around, I'd just like to say Welcome to my Blog to my sis' mate Salehah. I know it's inappropriate to put this last, but it doesn't mean it's of less importance and I'm sure you'll understand. It's just that on a hot summer night like this, with a whole week of lectures and labs and running and swimming behind, you tend to not do things in the right order... my mind is already shutting down...going to hit the sack soon...let's just hope I upload the pic that you wanted to see.....there you go........................ good night..........zzzzzzzzzzzz
