Lubb dubb: A heartbeat. A legacy. My story.

Time flies by. Reality sinks in, but memories stay, as crisp as freshly washed linen, and as clear as what is written here.

pre easter high

Random thoughts:

Had too much junk today: left over dinner for breakfast, yesterday's baked dinner for lunch and tea, a Cadbury rose, a Trumpet chocolate almond coated ice cream, ginger biscuits, and too big a serving of the irrestible chicken rice and soup. I feel bloated, fat, and under- excercised. Shit. Have to hit the pool soon. Haven't been there for two weeks now. My cravings for chocoalate is back. Damn. No more intoxicating chocolate! Help!

Loving Medsci 201 aka Human Biology more and more and more. I personally like to call it our Anatomy paper. Sounds more professional. Had our Musculoskeletal lab last Monday. Was awesome seeing actual models of humerus, torsos, wrists and other parts to clarify Peter Riordan's 5 whirlwind lecs. Somehow, depsite how tough it looks and all the terms I have to come to grips with, I think I will do fine. So going to camp in the Medical Resource Centre during the hols. Hopefully with all the visuals, it would make the learning easier. But Pete has made learning the carpal bones super easy, just embrace this phrase: 'Some Lovers Try Positions That They Can't Handle' and it makes Scaphoid, Lunate, Triquetral, Pissiform, Trapezium, Trapeziod, Capitate and Hammate look less daunting. Also, gotta tell you guys about this other cool compartment at the base of our thumb- 'anatomical snuff box'... apparently druggies used to use it in ancient times to you know what. Shall show you what I mean in a pic soon. But if you're curious as to which part of your hand I'm talking about, just bend your thumb backwards with all other fingers extended. You should see a shallow dent. Welcome to your Anatomical Snuff Box.

I blurted out absent mindedly that I wanted to be a gynaecologist if I ever considered medicine again. Damn. Shouldn't have. Now Japal wouldn't let me forget it... shut up. You surgeon wannabe who can't even spell 'snuff'....

But good times... going to bed now...have a long day tomorrow. And Biosci test too. Wish me luck! Hopefully DNA replication comes out, my essay-spotting baby....
